Crossway International Baptist Church
"Ich bin ein Berliner!" Most of us have heard the humorous story of John F. Kennedy speaking from the steps of Rathaus Schöneberg in 1963, telling the world, "I am a Berliner." (Or did he say, "I am a doughnut?") Along with Kennedy, I also happily say, "Ich bin ein Berliner." What a city Berlin is!

Of the many facets of this city, the one that excites me the most is Berlin's international flavor. With more than 180 nations represented here, the world has come to Berlin! At CrossWay Church, our motto is "presenting Christ to the nations in Berlin."

The name "CrossWay" conveys two ideas. First, it expresses that our church is situated in a city at a crossway or crossroads for people all around the world. But, more importantly, the name CrossWay brings to mind the words of Jesus in John 5:24 in which He proclaims, "Whoever hears my words and believes…has crossed over from death to life." As the old hymn says, the "way of the cross leads home."

So whether you are a true Berliner, or like me, you are one of many foreigners living in Berlin and just a Berliner at heart, I invite you to join us for services in English and German at CrossWay and become a part of "presenting Christ to the nations in Berlin."
